"It was a hot July in 1947. Evita Peron was in Rapallo for a period of rest. To convince her to go in Liguria was the Baron Leonino da Zara. Evita arrived in Sanremo on Saturday, 13 July, shortly after 18, in a black Cadillac. At the Hotel Miramare, there was the Mayor of San Remo that expected her, for the official reception"

During period of the "Sanremo Music Festival" , the most famous celebrities, many winners of the singing event and the characters such as: Queen Elena, and all the Royal family, General De Gaulle, Evita Peron, Giacomo Puccini, Fogazzaro, Cristian Barnard and many others, were guests of the hotel .
The Hotel Miramare was built close to the sea between the years 1870 - 1873, in a park of 10,000 square meters with over one hundred of palm trees and tropical plants of absolute rarity.
